About

I am thankful every day to live in a state with so much natural beauty. I welcome the opportunity to show you the state I love. What could be better than to be an ambassador for the state you love. Let me show it to you!

I was fortunate to grow up in the center of Pennsylvania surrounded by a number of renown trout streams. Spring Creek, Penns Creek, and Fishing Creek were all 30 minutes from my family’s house. Drive a little over an hour and I could fish two fantastic smallmouth rivers. The Juniata and Susquehanna rivers were unbelievable fisheries when I was growing up. Needless to say, with these classrooms available to me, I was hooked on fly fishing from a young age.

The year after I graduated high school, I had the opportunity through Student Conservation Corps to volunteer for a Summer in Baxter State Park. I worked on the trail crew that Summer and was captivated by the beauty of Maine. That Summer of volunteering led to jobs with Baxter State Park, Maine Conservation Corps, and Maine Appalachian Trail Club. My work with these organizations only deepened my love for the state of Maine.

The intervening years had me living in various parts of the country including Minnesota, Massachusetts, Utah, and Florida. While all these states are unique and beautiful in their own right, they were not Maine.

I was able to return to Maine and live here full time in 2007. When you have to be away from Maine, your thoughts always turn to returning. I am thankful every day to live in a state with so much natural beauty. I welcome the opportunity to show you the state I love. What could be better than to be an ambassador for the state you love. Let me show it to you!
